The main and highlighting feature of The Red Faction: Armageddon is that, the game has an environment which is fully destroyable. You can destroy any part of the environment by using a sledgehammer or just by launching a rocket at the environment. Every free standing structure in Guriella can be destroyed.
The Red Faction: Armageddon is really an improvement when compared to the previous versions of the game. The previous versions of the game only concentrated on the combats and the scenarios. The previous versions has too much of fat in it but The Red Faction: Armageddon is been made slim with features that are good and undeniable.
The player of the game is set into the shoes of Darius Mason, grandson of Guerilla‘s protagonist and a formidable warrior in his own right . The bad guys take the giant machine from the Mars and of this guilt Darius Mason comes back after years to unfold the story and to save the day from the bad guys.
Gears of Destruction :
Though the main notable thing of The Red Faction: Armageddon is the undeniable destroyable environment, fans of The Red Faction will notice that the Camera is too close to Darius Mason which is positioned behind the shoulder slightly to the right side of his shoulder. Armageddon definitely benefits in the change, and in the comparison.
The main aim of the game is to squash and slither aliens keeping the Mars safe. There are also other busyworks the protagonist have to undergo. The only thing which stand between you and the next checkpoint is only a group of monsters.
Cover Mechanics is the only difference which you will be finding between the Red Faction: Armageddon and the Gears of War. Darius is capable of cowering behind a nearby crate, and at times he is even forced to do so.
Guns and Whammo:
The sledgehammer returns as one of the strong weapon in the Red Faction: Armageddon and later on when you carry on the game, you will find that there are also other guns and ammos which will be used to destroy the environment. The Magnet Gun is a standout; earned early, its useful throughout the game and it basically works by linking two points: a target and an anchor point.

Red Faction: Armageddon is good, goofy fun. The story is B-grade fodder, frequently laughable and occasionally downright confusing.
